Nope. Seven percent.

Although I submit that, in the unlikely event he got the nomination, his chances of winning the general would be about as good as any other Republican's... ;D

Yeah, that's what he was talking about. But there's nothing new about that. Personally, I don't think much of VAT taxes, and you'd have to be batshit insane to believe it would stay at 1% for long. Between that and an income tax, the income tax at least gives the citizenry an opportunity to see what the bill for government is, rather than making it disappear into the retail cost of goods. I don't know whether it would be an improvement, other than getting the IRS out of the financial affairs of the citizenry.

But that was hardly the point. The fun part was listening to him rip into Romney after he hung up...

I've generally considered Romney the best of a bad bunch, but every time I consider supporting him, he demonstrates himself to be a prick.

YouTube is going to be his undoing...

Unfortunately politics is part of government and politics is nothing more than entertainment. It's a cockfight with human roosters.

We elect the person most capable of running the soundbite gauntlet rather than elect the person most capable of managing a government.

What was it pogo said?
