It's a video player for Netflix movies. Instead of having DVDs shipped to your house, you select them online, then have it streamed via the internet direct to your house. You can start watching your movies within minutes.

Watch The Man From Earth - great movie.

Also, the Roku rocks on my big wide screen. ;-)
