<<So what you are really saying is the candidate of hope's tax plan, crushes hope, just too many obstacles to overcome for poor Joe.>>

No, what I'm really saying is that the story of Joe the Plumber is phony in every aspect.  First of all he has no realistic hope of ever buying out  his boss's business, short of the miraculous appearance of angels or winning lottery tickets.  Secondly, even if he were serious about it, and a much better candidate for the purchase than anyone else, nobody who was serious about buying the business would be deterred by the prospect of paying an extra $1,300 on a $250K income.

You're looking at a totally unreal, totally manufactured story made possible only by McSame's total ignorance of real life and real business.

Joe wouldn't be famous except that Obama was caught on tape talking about wealth distribution.

"
First of all he has no realistic hope of ever buying out  his boss's business, ...."

How could this ever be proven better?

I would bet that an interview with every Plumbing business owner in this country would yeild 80% with a story of being a penniless young man.

It is as if you had no idea of how business worked at all , especially small ones.

The time line proves nothing, BT.  Joe the Plumber's story is phony and ridiculous at the same time.  First, he has no realistic prospects of buying out his boss's business in the foreseeable future.  Secondly, even if he ever DID buy out the boss, the idea that Obama's tax on his $250K income, a matter of a few thousand dollars more than he'd pay without a tax hike, would be a deal-killer is ludicrous.

plane's mindless repetitions of the Horatio Alger myth  notwithstanding, the odds of this guy buying his way to ownership of a business producing a quarter-million dollar income are rare indeed.  If he's got the stuff to come from as far behind as he now appears to be and wind up buying it, then he's not going to be deterred by the extra $2,000-odd that he'd have to pay on a $250K annual income under Obama.

You guys are spending so much time and effort to prove a case that any sensible business person would recognize as ludicrous is truly amazing.  What part of "he doesn't have the money, he doesn't have the licence" do you not understand?  Why do you think it's credible that a guy who can't even pay off a $1600 tax lien would bust his ass, probably for many years if not decades to get the money or even the credit rating needed to close the deal and then refuse to go forward because Obama's tax hike would take an extra couple thousand off his $250K income?

Give it up, guys, you're just embarrassing yourselves.

Not so much.

Your assertions of Joes ambition being impossible are belied by thousands of businesses across the nation , I can't help it if you refuse to look , but in your desk there is probly a yellowpages that helps my case a lot.

Joe might succeed in the times of a BHO presidency , but in spite of BHO if he does , Potential President Obama has no program to improve the business climate on any level.

>>Like they've been doing with Palin?<<

This might have been true right after she was niominated, but she's been campaigning all over the country after the VP debate.

That is absolutely FALSE.

The only reason "Joe" the "plumber" is "famous" is because John McCain said "Joe the Plumber" 15+ times during that debate and led Obama to say it another 8+ times.

The press then wanted to make sure "Joe" the "Plumber" was who he said he was.  As it turned out, he wasn't exactly doing what he claimed he was doing and he was a lawbreaker.

Now, you can whine all day about the "Joe the Plumber" tactic being shot out of the water by facts but it really is certainly false to say that Obama made Joe famous.

That is absolutely FALSE.

That statement is what is false.

Without Obama putting his foot in his mouth, McCain wouldn't have mentioned him in the debate. Without Obama having his foot in mouth experience caught on tape McCain wouldn't have known who Joe was.

Without Obama stepping into Joe's yard, the question wopuld not have been asked and the famous answer given.

And if Obama wasn't angry about what he said and the effect it might have on his electability, the dogs of hell would not have been unleashed from democrat office holders prying into the private affairs of one of their citizens in the great state of OHIO. And what surprises me is that doesn't seem to bother any of you stalwarts of liberty, that political thought and embarrassing the ONE is now cause for harassment and persecution.

Obama's entire campaign is based on HOPE, and yet you challenge the very ideas that a man's DREAMS are nothing more than a projection of HOPE.

At long last, have you no shame?

Yeah, and Saddam started the "war" in Iraq.

What is shameful is the way you are spouting Hannity-based nonsense about the "dogs of hell" being unleashed on Joe by the Dems.  Joe asked a question.  Obama answered his bullshit question that was a fabrication since Joe couldn't buy a plumbing business without a plumber's license.

Joe became a tent pole of the flailing campaign of McCain.  McCain didn't even give him a head's up.  McCain simply put the guy in the spotlight and tried to ride "Joe the Plumber" for all he was worth, which it turns out is not much at all.

Not to mention, Joe's question was based on a false premise.  Then McCain kept on and on with the lie that Obama was going to tax the crap out of Joe once he hit $250,000.  FALSE.  Obama's plan would tax Joe ONLY on the moneys he made OVER $250,000.  Not only that, Joe said that his BUSINESS would be making that much or a little over NOT HIMSELF!

Joe's ALLEGED business wouldn't be taxed at all!   And if the business is only making $250-280,000 a YEAR, could you tell me, how the hell is Joe going to then pay all his overhead and himself over $250,000 a YEAR?

EVEN, let's just say for arguments sake, EVEN IF his business profited that much a year, he wouldn't just then cut himself a check for $280,000.  But let's just say, Joe is a real dumbass and he WILL cut himself that check.   AFTER the taxes that are already taken out, he still wouldn't clear enough to be taxed under Obama's new plan.

So, keep your self-righteous attitude over there with you, will ya?  I'm sure it would get a big "You're a great American!" from Sean but it really cuts no ice with me when you're spouting these out and out lies.

Ah but Brass. Are YOU claiming to be doing what you are doing? Anything you might not want the world to know? Anything the family might not like to hear? You didn't like it much when I stated your positions on your web page, did you. And why are these things happening to Joe the Buckeye fan? Why, Barack Hussein Obama showed up in his neighborhood. Shook his hand. Now I think it's safe to say that if John McCain showed up on your front lawn you'd have a thing or two to say to him ... no? How would you react to the McCain campaign and FOX News going through your garbage and seeing if your child support payments and taxes were all paid up?

This is the kind of thing that you've been screaming about for your entire life. Until now.

Why would joe need a plumbers license to buy a plumbing business?

I don't need a CDL to own a cab company, i just need drivers who do.
