http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/24/arts/24singer.html?_r=1from the NYT obit, on Dec. 24. The film, IMHO, 1000% better than the book, but the essential theme of the book was preserved. Singer had, as far as I know, nothing to do with the screenplay, but deserves kudos for the concept.
One of the best conspiracy films ever made. Alan J. Pakula directed, with a great musical score by a composer whose name I can't recall. Good performances by Warren Beatty, Paula Prentiss and Hume Cronyn. Chilling ending. Evokes the early 1970s like no other film I know.
The film that made paranoia respectable.
R.I.P., Loren Singer. and Thanks.
