Twice in one week....getting scary!

For the second time in the same week I applaud President Obama.

Earlier in the week I praised President Obama traveling to
Afghanistan to support our combat troops as well voicing
his strong support of the US military mission in Afghanistan.

Now I applaud President Obama for reversing a long-standing ban
on most offshore drilling. Obama's plan offers few concessions to
environmentalists, who have been strident in their opposition to
more oil platforms off the nation's shores. Obama's plan modifies a
ban that for more than 20 years has limited drilling along coastal
areas other than the Gulf of Mexico.

I`m ok with the lifting of the ban, but as a active source of oil not that much.
If I understand it right, it`s a very limited source of oil. meaning its good to have access as a emergency reserve ,but not as a primary source.

Don't fall for it. Well it looks like you already did.

He's playing games in order to make Conservatives think he's coming around to our side. He's doing the point the finger look over there trick and doing the opposite thing when you are looking the other way. If anything he is going to make it harder for us to drill for domestic oil. The willing press is there to help him with the illusion. If he can fool Conservatives into thinking he's moving right Democrats might lose less seats in November.

Kramer....don't worry....I oppose Obama almost at every turn and I still 99% believe he should not be serving as President because I do not think he was born in the United States.....with that said...I think it is important to let it be known when he does something right....we dont want to be like the Left was with President Bush....the Left would have hammered Bush if he had cured lung cancer and said "well you didn't cure liver cancer".  Kramer...we don't want to be like that.

It's a political move.  He needs to try to bring back some Independents, but notice he doesn't lift any bans on the west coast....notice how many electoral votes CA has
