Don't laugh.  I could see this coming for years.  One can only imagine the fines & penalties levied to folks & businesses, come 2020

If I'm a Steakhouse owner I'm giving specials on Monday.
Oh, for a muse of fire, that would ascend the brightest heaven of invention . . .

what great idea

chinatown is a kind of a sanctuary in san francisco
so steakhouse monday would be welcome in chinatown.

it`s already the last place to have gravy.

This is a resolution. It does not have the force of law. No one could be arrested for serving meat.
Traditionally, Monday is a day in which many, if not most, restaurants are closed, anyway.

Anyone here claim it was a law?  It's only a matter of time when it does become law however

Anyone catch the NY City Board of Education produing an edict, "NO MORE BAKE SALES", unless its vegetables or fruit, or from a list of already manufactured plastic products, I mean processed packaged foods, that they have deemed OK to be eaten by Children??

I know I didn't, and I do not think that it will ever become a law.

You, on the other hand, think it is inevitable. But I think that is vary unlikely.

By the way, it does not apply to eating at home. People can eat an entire steer at home if they wish.

Then why the reference to "This is a resolution. It does not have the force of law", if that was never at issue??

Because HOLY CRAP! IT HAPPENED! seemed to me to express a great degree of importance and urgency.

When someone says "we hope you will serve vegetarian fare, that is, if you fell like it" I deemed to be unlikely to raise the feeling pf protest that he initially mentioned.

I can't imagine why such a thing would upset you.

Same folks 10years ago would be saying how completely far fetched for any legislature to have even thought of making some such official resolution

Nor did I make any inferrence to being "upset".  That's just another, in a LOOOOONG list of your errors, to date

ok
to be alittle clear
true the resolution does not have the force of law,but thier is precedence that it can be law or something to that effect.

plastic bag ban started as a resolution and despite many protest it became policy here.

in fact the people who approved meatless monday has also made the plasstic ban even more strict and closed a loophole that allows reuseable plactic bags.

so it`s very likely a meat ban may happen.

at this moment talks are in the way to make vegetables organic only

p.s. meatless friday also include cage free eggs(whatever that means)

I also hear rumor of olive oil only ,but that just sounds crazy-groan
