If a chunk of Europe would do just as well for Isreal.
Wouldn't a chunk of Europe do well as Palistine?
=======================================
I did not say that it would do as well for Israel, I said it would have been more just to punish the criminals than to punish the innocent. Of course, By 1945, Zionism had already decided upon Palestine as the homeland. Jews have been saying "Next year in Jerusalem" at Passover for centuries. They never said "Next year in Salzburg, Munich, or Dresden".
As for awarding a chunk of Europe to the Palestinians, I don't think that would be popular with anyone. For far-fetched plans, I believe enlisting the Dutch to reclaim a piece of the Mediterranean off the coast of Israel would be a better solution.

As for Tee's comments on Jews and the Nobel Prizes, he is absolutely correct. There is nothing to add. An excellent summary.
===========================
As for CU4's comment that Jesus was the founder of the Christian religion, that may be the official line, but without Paul, there would have been no world religion called Christianity. Jesus did not set out to do more than to before Judaism: he had virtually nothing whatever to do with Gentiles. At no point did Jesus suggest that any Gentile convert to Judaism, or to be baptized, or anything similar. Not one, not ever.
Paul saw that this would not work as a world movement. Most of the world was not Jewish. When Paul proposed that Gentiles convert, the general response from Gentile men was unpromising: "You want me to do WHAT with my tallywhacker? Forget THAT! C'mon woman, let's get out of here, this guy is crazy!"
So Paul decided that circumcision was unnecessary: Peter disagreed: Jesus' brother James disagreed. Eventually Peter was won over and James was shut out, and now many do not even acknowledge that Jesus had any siblings. What did Mary say? Who knows? Who listened to women back then? That was back before the Pope decided she was immaculate and sinless, so poor Mary could not pull rank on the dudes.
So I would say that the greatest religious promoter and PR man of all time was Paul, not Jesus. Jesus was the merchandise. Paul was the actual creator of Christianity as a world religion. Jesus was Elvis, but Paul was Colonel Tom Parker. Jesus was the original McDonald's, but Paul was Ray Krop. There would have no billions sold without Ray Krop and no billions converted without Paul.
The difference being that Krop almost certainly ate a lot of McBurgers, maybe even played a spell with a Happy Meal toy or two, but Paul never met Jesus.Still, he knew a winning product.
