So instead of being thrown out, he resigned.

Just like Nixon resigned.

Just like Martinez resigned.

it is a matter of mere semantics. he was given a chance to quit. but had he not quit, his ass would have been on the pavement. Gingrich was ruled incompetent by his own people. and now he's baaaaack.

The people elected him back for an eleventh term. His ass would not have been on the pavement, he just would not have been selected speaker. He chose to resign.

One of your South Florida Reps Alcee Hastings was impeached for taking bribes when a judge.

Must be OK if you are a dem.

hastings has noting to do with Gingrich. he is unfit to be president. he is unfit to have any damned thing to do with government. i have nothing to do with hastings, either.

Gingrich is fit if the voters of his party say he is fit. If Obama can beat him so be it. But he won't
because he is a miserable failure.

he is quite likely to be a miserable failure of he manages to become president.

i would prefer that he try his hand at something that does not involve me, as running this country does.

let him find a better way to stroke his huge ego.

Who keeps manipulating the message ?
In the midst of a tremendous fight.
Gingritch seems to have left rather than bring the house down fighting.

Who thinks it better to call this "tossed out" by his own?

There are things I like about Gingritch , he is probably the smartest available canadate for one thing.
Things I don't like include his seeming lack of loyalty to persons .

A president should be Competent , intelligent , morally strong, courageous,knoledgable,.....   Is this a situation where none of the canadates has the whole list of applicable virtues and we must pick any three?

Apparently dems want to go against Romney . It goes with the whole 99% ad campaign they tried out this fall.

A lot of Tea Party type folks ie those who want the US to gets it's financial house in order don't think Romney meets their needs. Thus the anti-Romney campaign with Newt currently ahead in the flavor of the week polls. Don't be surprised if both Perry and Bachmann start making inroads soon.

Huntsman is being urged to run as a third party candidate. I don't really see that as hurting the GOP as much as it might provide an alternative for dems.

Romney was simply the most likely of the nominees, it makes sense to postulate a contest against Romney. Gingrich would be easier to defeat.
