well
the excuse is they shouldn`t of made that a one man job.

in the battle field gun fire will keep a man up for awhile. eventually he`ll grow immune to the sound.

inexcusable will work for awhile . the solution is simply hire people who can handle the hours.but that`s easier said than done

I`d of kept a couple of empty gatorade bottles with me.

alot of my security jobs don`t think about bathroom breaks. professional- ultimately means the most an employer can get away with.

I see so many negative attitudes about bathroom breaks it`s a miracle that adult diapers are not used at alot of jobs.

Kimba...whatta ya mean by that?
We don't give official breaks
instead...and we think it's better....to just allow people some freedom
employees are free to get up at anytime & go to the restroom or breakroom for a coke
we had a minor problem of people abusing this and "wandering" around the office
but we came up with a great solution
25 cent bonus for every order put in our system
so people are incentivized to stay at their desk
because everytime they get up it may cost 'em a call or two
that can mean 50 cents or $1 an hour in wage if they are wandering
it's great to put them in control
wanna wander?.....sure go right ahead....cost yourself $1 an hour wages
 ;)

I see so  it`s a miracle that adult diapers are not used at alot of jobs

ewwwwww
no way

in security you get called a woman if you use the bathroom alot.

I normally informed the supervisor-holding  is not an option. due to the fact 10mins in real time is 2hours.

If you think about it diapers in the workplace makes a ton of sense, except no business would pay for the diapers

do gamers use diapers?

LOL....ah hell no....no way
odor?
sanitary issues?
plus it's good for people to get up, refresh, recharge, take a break, & healthwise to not just sit.
it's ok to even have a little fun at work and can actually be productive
if you treat employees like shit...you'll get shitty results.
find some superstars...weed thru the flakes...that call in sick...have bad attitudes....ect
once ya got the superstars in place....spoil 'em, pamper them....boom...you'll get the results ya want!
what goes around comes around :)

you right about the superstars of course.

but those are few and far in between.

not saying most workers are flakes but I will say the talent pool is generally shallow.

the term "dime a dozen " is not very workable

the bar is very low for me- I just want someone willing and ask questions later.

thats also rare

I agree Kimba
i takes years and I do mean years....to find the "diamonds"
and really "diamonds" can be at any level...bus boys to landscapers to pilots to doctors
i've found it's actually cheaper once you find the "diamonds" to just keep them & pay them more
by letting good people slip thru you create a "revolving door" of employees & that in and of itself is not cheap
most workers may not be flakes.....but most workers are not superstars either
people that are passionate about what they do...no matter what the work is....are hard to come by
when i worked as a dishwasher or in a mailroom people were always bitching
i was always defending mgt...even back then....at that level of a job
i knew i wouldnt always be a dishwasher....but I wanted to be the best while I did that.
and we had lots of fun in that kitchen....i love to have fun at work and still get kickass productivity
like...chump we gonna be in first place...but we also gonna giggle our way to the top of the heap!
 ;)

It is pretty hard to be productive when you need to pee and can't. I have never had a job that did not allow people to go when they had to go, and I never went when I did not need to go.

I found that it was useful to announce to a class before an exam that they could go now or later, but not during the exam, since there were from time to time, students that would meet in the bathroom and swap answers, or leave cheatsheets behind for others to find.

I found that if you announced this as a classroom policy, it was never a problem. The biggest problem cheating students seemed to have was that they could only get answers from others who also did not know the correct answers.

it`s the strangest thing I actually know quite afew people who prefer to hold it for no reason .I have yelled at alot of people they should go,but they keep insisting they can hold. then they want to go at the most inconvient time. the worst is museum patrons, they actually believe the galleries has bathrooms.

i bet "holding" on a daily basis for long periods makes one more susceptible to kidney stones
kidneys need to be flushed out as much as possible

As I recall, all the art galleries that I have spent time in do have bathrooms available. The Louvre has bathrooms, so does the Prado, and the Miro and Cezanne museums. In Kansas City, the Nelson Art Gallery has bathrooms, all available to the public.

I do not recall ever being told that a gallery does not have a public restroom.
