the thing about those images is they are the only thing left. it`s kinda doubtful the tribes today has such record of their past. thanks bt.
I would love to see more of that series of books

The Indians were not into portraiture, nor photography. It was a lot more complicated to take these photos than it is today to snap digital photos.
It is ironic that the best visual memories of these vanishing cultures were made only with the help of the White people whose invasion changed them forever.
There was a portrait painter named George Catlin that did some excellent portraits of Indians in the 1830's. he was the Audobon of the Indians.
