'GREEN' GORE GOES GULFSTREAM: VIDEO CATCHES ECO-WARRIOR ON LUXURY PRIVATE JET
Fri Sep 07 2007

As former Vice President Al Gore waits to hear if he has won this year's Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless effort on climate change, a new video will air this weekend capturing Gore on a fuel-guzzling private jet!

What's all that outrageous guff about Craig's & the GOP's supposed hypocrisy, while there's this deafening silence with Gore & co's?

Funny that you would support him.

A man who has had rumors about him for over 20 years.
At the time of the first Page scandal, he issued a pre-emptive "I wasn' t involved" press statement, and then he got married to a woman who already had children.

And now he pled guilty to this. And he did not tell his family about it.

Oh well.  Different strokes, as it were....

Support who?  and more so, how?

A man who has had rumors about him for over 20 years.

If you're talking about Craig, I only came to know him over the last 2weeks.  Apparently the sex lives of politicians is of greater interest to the left side of the asile.  I know it is for knute

And now he pled guilty to this. And he did not tell his family about it.

And....................?  Still waiting for the other shoe to fall.  Or is this some little tactic of trying to divert attention from the actual hypocrit flying a luxury gulf stream jet, while advocating that we all take public transportation, ride bikes, and use only 1 strip of TP per bowel movmement.  Oh wait, that last one was some other loony bin

Sickening that you're so hypocritical.

Riding in a Gulf Stream is not against the law.  It may be hypocritical, but to even mention Craig and Gore together, well, that's reaching.

Trolling for sex in a men's bathroom (he plead guilty)  is quite a bit more of a no-no than flying in an airplane.

<<Trolling for sex in a men's bathroom (he plead guilty)  is quite a bit more of a no-no than flying in an airplane.>>

Desperation leads to wild, wild stretches, Lanya.  If Gore were President, they'd move to impeach him for flying in a Gulfstream and if Craig were President, they'd cheer him on if he were having sex with pages on the floor of the Oval Office.

But I guess what it all comes down to is good old family values.  Flying in a Gulfstream is an obvious violation if you're a Democrat.  Trolling for sex in a public washroom - - if you're a Republican - - isn't.  Gotta love those Republicans.  They're always on the right side (no pun intended) of any issue.

Riding in a Gulf Stream is not against the law.

Who the hell said it was??  Is that your best comeback?  It's ok for the in your face hypocrisy by Gore because it isn't illegal??  Lasttime I looked there was no legsilation on the books or pending, that would outlaw the act of being a hypocrit

It may be hypocritical,...
MAY??    ::)

...but to even mention Craig and Gore together, well, that's reaching.

No, reaching is trying to paint Craig as a hypocrit, simply because he doesn't support your ideololgical bent of what a gay person is supposed to support.  As I've already demonstrated, it's like an obese doctor advocating that you eat healthy.  Gore is advocating we all "turn green" while he purposely excludes himself from that calling.

Trolling for sex in a men's bathroom (he plead guilty)  is quite a bit more of a no-no than flying in an airplane.

One more time, who's supporting Craig's actions in a bathroom??  That was NEVER the issue, but as weak as your position is, was the only thing you could attempt to latch onto.  It's called desperation

In order to postulate a case for hypocracy, you are obliged to stay away from silliness.

In today's busy global world, you say that Gore--an ex-senator and ex-presidential candidate, as well as ex-vice-president--is a hypocrit because he rides in a jet, which is consistent with and necessary to his work.

In order to avoid that hypocracy, and be consistent with your derisive characterisations of his work, he would have to ride in what . . . a canoe?

How this comparison is supposed to belong in the same category as a right-wing pol who has demonstrated a vigorous track record for demeaning and publically castigating again and again gays and pedophiles, and then is exposed for the very same transgressions, is beyond mature credibility.

This issue, btw, is a non-issue issue created by right wing think tanks to divert attention from real issues, like the one Al Gore is involved with.  Even the suggestion that the issue is real is hypocritical.

Sirs, time to get real about all this.

I demand you stop using Hannity and O'Reilly toss-offs and write your own scripts.

You'll end up looking less silly.

Crane is unquestionably correct from a mature and intelligent standpoint, the one we should all strive for if we are capable of it. I will say boldly that not all "political ideas" are created (or pursued) equally, and Sirs's attempt here is one of the more ridiculous. In responding, Crane is a better man than me in the battle with the rightie wing-nuts, for he deigns to respond at all.

Nonsense. Gore should have taken a commercial flight where the carbon footprint per passenger is much lower.

Carbon offsets is the equivalent of rich Northeasterners hiring the irish to take their place during the civil war draft.

I guess if you persist inpursuing this inanity, the comparison is more compelling between the footprint a man of his stature usually leaves and the one he actually leaves in the aggregate, rather than some nonsensical baseline of absolute zero. It is important to note in this regard that the footprints he does leave often are erased at destination by the footprints he persuades others to forego. And, formalities aside, Gore functions as a politician of presidential-candidate stature; how many of them fly commercial?

No, public transportation, commercial aviation, ever hear of it?.  Hell, 1st class if he wants and pays for it.  Downsizing his house would be a step in the right direction as well.  Downgrade the limo to a Prius perhaps.  Alot of things he could realistically do, but chooses not to, and instead demands that the rest of us do, because the "earth needs it" for its salvation.  Flying in a luxurious private gulfstream is not a picture you want around your neck when trying to advocate the rest of us use bicyles & mass transit
