it looks to that everybody is guilty

no matter what the zoo did wrong and should be punished.
but here something I noticed about the 2 boys.
that tiger did not randomly maul them.
he went to great lengths to go after them.
so it`s very possible those boys teased him.
meaning both parties are guily for the death of that kid
as you know I never believe one act counters another all should gets blamed.

p.s. the guy who lets that tiger live from the 1st mauling last year and said" it`s just tigers being tigers"
should be put to sleep also.
damn that stupid
not kidding he actually said that

It's really hard to believe that anybody would be so fucking stupid as to provoke a tiger, so I'm going to wait till the investigation is completed.  I'm sorry that a boy was killed, but it would make me really angry to think that he was partially responsible, because the tiger is also a victim and she for sure was innocent.  I think the answer here is deeper moats, higher banks and closer video surveillance of the whole zoo.

I was talking to a guy who seemed to know something about animals - - or maybe he just saw something on TV - - but he claims that a tiger has good memory for faces, you piss one of them off and they will pick you out of a crowd of hundreds.   But who knows if any of that's true or not?

from what I understand the kid that died was trying to save the other 2 by getting in the way.
but the tiger killed him and still went after the two.
this is the part that makes me think those two might of teased the tiger.

One of my favorite stories in comic books as a kid was the ec one I read about a guy who was always fishing for the big fish.

He was walking along the beach one evening and spotted a candy bar on the sand.

Ravenous, he picked it up, peeled it back and took a big bite.

It had a hook in it.

He was pulled into the ocean by revenging fish.

A tall story, but one with a superb irony.

I wish the tiger had got all three, if all three were shooting it with a beany flipper.

The guy across the road from me had his German Sheppard shot, at close range, a few nights ago.  Punks, druggies, gangstas sizing up the area.

He put a sign out posting a reward of five hundred dollars.

I promised him a hundred to ease the burden if finds the slimy fuck that killed Duke.

Not likely to be true; a tiger's visual acuity (ability to see details) is not as good as a human's. Being a predator, their senses are tuned for spotting moving prey. Ever watch a cat and an insect?

crane
that reminds of those ducks in sunnyvale
some truely sick f*&k at night started grabbing these duck that lived in a pond near a carwash and started driving over them
the vid camera showed him grabbing them but it was too blurry to id him.
people donated money for reward to his capture
he was never found so it went to charity.
the survivers and any duck that shows up and won`t leave are sent somplace else
it`s just not possible to make that place safe for the ducks
nobody can bear it happening again.
that carwash has famous for it`s ducks

<<Ever watch a cat and an insect?>>

No, but I watched my kids' long-haired dachshund with insects - - he'd freeze, lower his body closer to the ground and point with his nose.  NOBODY ever taught him to point - - we had him since he was about four months old and a little old lady had him before that.  The insect had to be over a certain size - - he'd point for a grasshopper but not an ant.

dachshund are tough little dogs
a friends of mine brags how her dog actually scares bigger dogs away.
something about the bark and posture
I read they`re breed to chase badgers.

Dogs are not predators.

Cats will watch an insect, sometimes go into "pounce mode" until the insect stops moving. If it stops moving for more than brief period of time, the cat seems to not see it anymore. Sometimes they'll sweep their paw around where they saw it last, to make it move again.

We as carnavores maintain a level of denial in terms of indifference to animals, so that we can eat them without weeping or gulping with guilt.  Everybody who lives on a farm knows this, and also those who read the tales of the child with the pet turkey or cow.  God gave this dilemma of existential philosophy to all inhabitants of the earth.

Sanctioned indifference though is not cruelty or wanton slaughter.

Pretty much unamimous among psycholgists that kids and teens who are cruel to animals easily can carry that over to humans later on.  A great many mass and serial killers have this pattern.  And most who have torturing their victims as a part of their m.o.

Both we and our animals are better off by dealing with this realistically (because it benefits us both), and not with a smug deceit of dominion.

ouch
brought memories
I had a pet turtle
he was the best tasting soup I ever had,but will never have anything with turtle again.
I never understood the logic of having a kid care for and animal for slaughter without insuring the kid has full knowledge of it`s outcome.
I`m betting this is how many PETA members are made.
p.s. dahmer started with animals.

Ever read the darwin awards?

You realize that most of those are made up, right?

Actually, I wasn't aware of that.  That said, not a day goes by that someone doesn't do something amazingly stupid that ends in a loss of life.

Thanks for the correction though.
