I have a three year old who has no idea who she is either.  It's more of a tween thing; however, I do see much more kids television that I have ever in my life now and the commercials during Spongebob Squarepants and Fairly Godparents usually are rife with commercials for Hannah Montana and the Naked Brothers and Zoey 101.

Hannah Montana is played by the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, the guy who was famous for singing Achey Breaky Heart.

My mind is continually boggled by what gets to be a "craze" with kids today.  Perhaps when my son is old it will make sense to me but from what I've seen of different snippets of these shows they are playing not only to tweens who think their parents are morons but also to the parents who are sitting there with their kids.  While the characters are young teens, their dialogue is sometimes decidedly a little too cute for kids their age.

And the characters are always annoying.

and Fairly Godparents

Don't you mean "Fairly Odd Parents"?
