I wonder if President Obama will want any such trials to happen?

I would bet that he would not.

If Cheany gets charged with anything , BHO might as well pardon him.

I didnt know you thought so highly of Big O. Too bad you are wrong about this one. A war criminal is a war criminal and it is our duty to turn them over to the Haque as the Serbians did theirs.

You are going to be disapointed in him when he does not hand the ourgoing vice president to the Hague?
Better than that , I would include Bush himself.
And when they  are sentenced to hang, I will  cheer like most decent folks .

Do you actually enjoy being vindictive?

Let us move forward. The economy is in shambles, foreign relationships are in tatters, we need to carefully disengage from Iraq, further support poor Karzai in Afghanistan, leave the place for the goatherders and heroin delaers (or decide to nuke the place and move on), bolster both Social Security and Medicare, we need to be better custodians of our environment and on and on and on...

I believe any such activity, eg. charging Bush et al with a crime(s), would be counter-productive to the sane operation of this nation. It would be too divisive. I did not agree with some of my conservative friends ala Clinton and I do not believe it is a positive action now.

We need to move forward to address some SERIOUS issues in this great nation of ours; not look back.

Prosecuting Bush will help repair the great damage to the US standing in the world. Besides prosecuting for a blow job or killing hundreds of thousands of people on false pretenses are hardly comparable.

Who would make that comparison?

Neither one ever happened.

We'll be in Afghanistan for a long, long, time. What just happened in India is an indication of how far we have to go.

Neither one ;
Bill Clinton was never prosicuted for anything he did with that Woman ,....Monica Lewinsky , if that had been a criminal act it would have been simple to prove it against him. He was prosicuted for the sexual harrassment of another woman entirely.
George Bush has never knowingly used any false pretenses, a failing on his part really, I hope our next president has at least a little guile.

Is there any potential for a "Surge" to overwhelm the resistance?

Nuke Afghanistan and move on?  Surely you jest!
What has Afghanistan done to deserve nuking?

It is bad enough that our troops have attacked so many wedding parties.

I agree yet a Presidential Decision must be made on what road to tread...

I don't know, plane. My gut told me the surge in Iraq would be a good idea. My gut tells me that's not the way to go in Afghanistan, right now anyway. I think Afghanistan is a place for Special Forces, not conventional troops. Or not a large contingency of conventional forces.

Right. Of course thanks to Bush and Co. we didn't have any choices in Afghanistan. Too many troops were involed the Iraq nonsense.

A "hunch" like that , especially from someone with a long experience is good reason to pause and proceed with caution.

Perhaps you have picked up some clues subliminally that I havent observed at all.

So is it Powell doctrine in Iraq and Rumsfeild method in Afganistan?

Why not get some bonus laughs by mentioning how we could build death camps in Kabul, Herat and Khandahar and gas Afghans with Zyklon?

Why do you suppose nuking would be funnier than death camps? You could kill lots more people, and no tattooing would be required...

Since Pakistan and India both have atomic weapons and agents provocateurs want to provoke them both, it isn't quite unlikely enough to be funny.
