That was hilarious - - he hasn't had a chance.  Something so important that he drops his own campaign, but actually READ a document?  "I haven't had a chance."  Of course he had a chance - - the President's office probably circulated it to every legislator, but in any case, all he had to do was ask.  What does "I haven't had a chance" really mean?  that "The big kids wouldn't let me see it?"  "The dog ate it?"

==================================
So he is so convinced of the importance that he suspends his campaign, but then he doesn't bother the READ the fool proposal?

Who needs this sort of crap? That isn't leadership.

It's totally lame. Maybe he could get Sarah Palin to read it to him.

All the while, Bush was anything BUT some hard nosed, uber conservative, pushing policy that was always some fanatical RW position, and instead was frequently bucking his own conservative base.

Sure he was. How many times did he threaten to veto any cuts for his little war? How many times did he refuse any legislation that would set a timetable to bring the troops home? How many times did he hint that it would be somehow unpatriotic/treason/aiding and abetting the enemy if we did so? And if you could get his nose out of Bush's ass long enough to see him, there was McCain, tagging along behind.

And all the while there's H, ignoring all the multitude of bipartsian efforts of Bush, and even those where he bucked the conservative base in an apparent effort to be Democrat-lite, in order to ..... bash Bush & McCain for daring to support what he considers a war we should have never engaged in.    I realize the war has you in a big hissy fit, H, but if you objectivity look at the totality of both Bush & McCain's record and efforts, you'll note the definative efforts they've produced in trying to garner compromise, (much to many conservatives' ire) vs that of Mr 97% voting Democrat, Obama.  Bush & McCain have actually worked with the other party, sometimes against their own' party's core wishes.

But to address your little rant above, he had no reason to veto cuts to a justifiable war, and it would have been idiotic to apply some arbitrary timetable made by DC politicians, before the Iraqis were ready and the commanders on the ground said they were ready.  And 1 more time, as we've been thru this..... NO, disagreeing with someone who doesn't agree with the war, and criticising them for it is NOT, repeat NOT calling them unpatriotic, or treasonous.  It's calling them wrong, is all.

It's all well and good to say that Iraq's troops much be ready before they are given the job of defending Iraq.

But this is costing us a HUGE amount of money.

None of which we would have to pay had Juniorbush not lied us into a needless war.

And we thank you again for your utter failure in proving such an asinine claim

Dozens of books have been written about how Juniorbush lied us into this stupid war. He KNEW there were zero WMD's.

You could read any one of them, and then you would not have to bob about in the Sea of Ignorance in which you find yourself.

By such a means, you would not appear to be the great calliopygious jackass that everyone here knows you to be.

And strangely, with all these supposed publications and opion pieces, not 1 provable fact that Bush knew there were no WMD in Iraq, but took us in anyways.  Simply the perseverating Dozens of books have been... garbage.

And we also thank you for demonstrating your continued inability to control your rhetoric

That is your opinion, and you aren't good at opinions. YOu have not read a single one of the books or articles in which Juniorbush's gung ho incompetence is clearly ilustrated.

Most of what you know is wrong.

The view through the glass navel is quite distorted.

I don't recall anyone trying to cut funding for the war in Afghanistan, so of course he would have had no reason to veto them.

That other war, though, the one that wasn't justifiable, he shoulda cancelled that one outright.

No, that is FACT.---> FACT, there is no proof that Bush knew there were no WMD, and took us to war anyways

OPINION would be that he knew there were no WMD, and took us to war anyways.  You have even said yourself, there's all these "books" & op-ed pieces, and have we seen any excerpt from any of them that demonstrates a "see?, here is the proof", smoking gun moment??  No.  We get zip, nada, zilch, and demands that said critics go look it up ourselves

So minus any proof/fact to the latter, makes it pure unadulterated Bush hating opinion, made more idiotic with the notion that everyone else who believed Saddam had WMD, from the previous administration, the congressional critters, the NIE, the other nation's intel agencies, etc, all got it wrong, but Bush...that evil dark lord of the sith, he somehow knew he didn't, & lied about it, when such a vast preponderance of the global intel community said he did.

THAt's what makes the continued claims asinine

If it weren't justified, perhaps.  I agree with Bush that it was though, given the intel at the time, and the events of 911.  Which makes vetoing any such legslation in funding it, pretty self defeating

Well....

McCain agreed when he agreed , but he was contrary to the Rumsfeild plan most of the time.
