Spot on, Plane.  IIRC, Rubio was their greatest fear.  Trump was their hope.  And despite EVERYONE against him, once he won the primary, including the GOP establishment, he still won.  Tells you just how bad a candidate Clinton was

no, I'm referring to many of those that took him for his word, who will be howling as well

I respectfully disagree
sure not everyone is going to cheer...
but when does that ever happen anyway

I think C, you're overestimating Trump's support base.  I'd opine that a minimum of a third, if not a majority of those who voted for him, voted to stop Clinton (& Obama's continued socialist agenda), more so than supporting Trump.  As such, if he's going to pull an Obama, and immediately step away of his campaign pledges, with the media painting him as liar in chief, he's going to embolden Democrats on the fence, to join in the obstruction bandwagon, and have that famous promise that "Mexico will pay for it", wrapped around his neck as his You can keep your doctor albatros

I want him to succeed.  I hope he comes thru with good leadership and judgement.  His present cabinet picks and VP pick give me goose bumps at the potential of excellence.  I'm just trying to say, that if he comes across as so callous to those that voted for him, it's going to be a long 4 years for him, and this country

I don't have a problem with the U.S. paying for it either.....it needs built.....simply that he'll be eviserated for failing to come thru on his biggest campaign promise.  It'll be his "You can keep your Doctor" moment.  That's why I'm hoping that they nip that in the bud, by providing what I outlined above, that demonstrates how exactly "Mexico is paying for the wall"

How is he going to get Mexico to pay for it?     ???

actually pretty easily...it can be done various ways...through better trade deals, etc...

That's a little too vague I'm afraid.....especially to U.S. tax payers.  We're going to need to see a better dot connection, as in these trade deals will generate $x, that will be y% devoted to wall building, which will cost $z.  That's what the people who voted for him, are going to need to see

Keep in mind that when the GOP is doing it, they're obstructionists.  When Democrats do it, its integral to the Democracy of this country.  So implies the media

News Flash, Kimba....there was no checks and balances the last 8 years, outside of a split party, as in the Dems controlling the Executive branch, and the GOP controlling the Legislative Branch.  There was no checks and balances within the Executive Branch.  Obama saw to that with his picks

And let's keep reminding them about the lecture we got from them, demanding that unless we accepted the results of the election, it was a threat to democracy itself

Oh, there's plenty of screaming, but the media doesn't dare report it.  They probably will now, under a GOP controlled DC
