I like Amazing Race. My kids like the Hulk Hogan show.
Favorite current sitcom? I can't think of one off hand, but I too was a huge All in the Family and MASH fan.  And WKRP in Cincinnatti.

I used to love to watch Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Petticoat Junction Theme
Written by Paul Henning & Curt Massey
Lyrics from Curt Massey's Capitol Records Recording
Sung by Curt Massey
Copyright 1963 Carolintone Music Co., Inc.*

Come ride that little train that is rolling down the tracks to the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!
Forget about your cares, it is time to relax at the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!
Lots of curves, you bet, even more when you get to the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!

Well, there's a little hotel called the Shady Rest at the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!
It is run by Kate, come and be her guest at the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!
And you'll meet Uncle Joe, he's a-movin' kinda slow at the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!

When they hear the dinner bell from the Shady Rest Hotel at the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!
Folks will walk a country mile for that chicken country-style at the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!
But the dishes to observe are those pretty gals who serve at the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!

Well, we'll soon be leavin' town
There's old Charley oilin' round
Can she make it up the hill
At least to Hooterville
The pressure's on the rise
Floyd is burning railroad ties
Everybody get inside
Doesn't cost a cent to ride
Come one and come all and we'll take that Cannonball to the Junction,
Petticoat Junction!

Fess up ,
Where did ya get the lyrics? Online? From your childhood memory bank?
Hey, does anyone really know the lyrics without looking them up
to:
Beverly Hillbillies?
Green Acres?

Quote
Beverly Hillbillies?

I'll try:

Come and listen to my story 'bout a man named Jed,
Poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
then one day he was shootin' at some food,
when up through the ground came some bubblin' crude.

Oil, that is, black gold, texas tea.

Well, the first thing you know, ol' Jed's a millionaire,
Kin folk said, "Jed, move away from there."
Said, "Californee (sp?) is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly...

Hills that is...swimming pools...movie stars

Earl Scruggs was a genius. Plus, I just liked the show.

I smell something burning, hope it's just my brains.
They're only dropping peppermints and daisy-chains
So stuff my nose with garlic
   Coat my eyes with butter
   Fill my ears with silver
   Stick my legs in plaster
   Tell me lies about Vietnam.

You forgot the last stanza - which was played at the end of the show:

Well now its time to say good by to Jed and all his kin.
And they would like to thank you folks fer kindly droppin in.
You're all invited back a gain to this locality
To have a heapin helpin of their hospitality

Hillybilly that is. Set a spell, Take your shoes off.

Y'all come back now, y'hear?.
Do not anticipate trouble, or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight. (Benjamin Franklin)
