Give Hillary a chance. Come on.. Perhaps she has more to offer than we realize.

She might have more to offer this nation than we realize. She has been around a lot longer and when it comes to children, health care etc....she has proven to at least have a passion for change in terms of programs that work. I support her. I do. God, I have come full circle, but the child is at the base of this turn around. Obama is ok...but Clinton has been around a lot longer and I do believe she will rally to the plate. But, we need more than any politician can offer this nation /this world. .. of course we all know this.....we need extreme makeovers. We need risk, chance, passion and peace.

This will become the century of earth's healing and hearts reaching out to that which is spiritual. Not right wing religion...but love. You wait and see.....we need more of the power of love.

Not power in bullets.

Sounds like you and Terra are in cahoots. :-)

I simply have no trust for either Clinton, Cynthia. I think Hillary is mean-spirited and that concerns me. But, I have no real proof of that; just a feeling. I could be wrong.
ha..well no way would I be in cahoot with Terra any day of the week. I frankly think that we are misjudging Hillary a bit. I agree SHE'S A BITCH...and I was the first to say so, but that isnt' what she is running for....she's running to make changes, and perhaps we all judge those mean spirited folks a bit too harshly. There's a woman at my work who is very much like what you describe, Prof. But she gets things done for us. I just can't talk to her, or relate with her at all..most people can't. She's that cold and harsh. SO be it. . . she moves and shakes like no body's business and when it comes to getting the best practices for kids...she's the gal.

Tha'ts hard to deal with, I agree. I am speaking about Hillary in terms of getting a job done for kids...and families...I really wonder if she could have done that in spite of her ugliness.

No, Sirs not true. I was in a disucssion the other day with someone who pointed out that of all the candidates, she really does have a sort of sense of what is right for people. Perhaps after all these years she has somehow risen to that "right" of passage. She is intelligent and she is nurturing to an extent. I am not playing devil's advocate, and yet I am....I don't like her for the very reason that she stayed with her idiot husband......Nuttin to do with female vs black vs white vs Mormon...

Well, that's good to hear.  But......

Good point, Cynthia. Every organization needs "doers", those that get the job done...regardless.

As far as Hillary...we'll see.

When you hear a woman called a bitch, you should always ask yourself "what would we call a man that did or said the same thing?"

because the exact same skills needed for authoritative leadership that must be used by a man, also must be used for a woman.

The main thing that Rush seems to have against Hillary are that (1) she is a woman and (2) she doesn't agree with hm.

Of coursae, Rush is PAID BIGTIME to spout the crap he spouts. He is hired to propagandize the softer minded males who have extreme diffficulty thnking an original thought all by themselves.

XO, come on now. This is so old and prejudiced it is not even funny.

Hillary is apparently a hard-charger. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, in my opninion. What I detect is a tendency to be unethical. THAT is what I do not appreciate. But, I  am honest enough to say it is only a perception. Only time will tell. One early indicator may be this dumb flap about Obma and plagiarism. A good example of Hillary playing it scummy?

Why would you say that Rush is against Hillary because of her gender?

What would indicate this?

Your second point , that they disagree a lot ,is a given totally true ande not improper , that is the whole picture.

That Rush is paid bigtime is true , but that he is paid to be manipulative is not , who do you think signs those big checks Rush is getting?

======================================
I think that would be Clearchannel, a conglomerate that has managed to turn hundreds of formerly useful local radio stations into a propaganda entertainment center for the mentally challenged.

This is not even a secret.

Clear channell gets its money from advertiseing doesn't it?

Not a clearer example of the people getting what the people choose to have can be found than this .

If Rush were not getting the people to tune in , he would be dropped in favor of something that the people wanted to hear more , that is where the money is .

Rush is the peoples choice the people directly choose him and he is provideing to the people what they want .

Being out of step with most of the people must be tough on liberals , but since most liberals hold "the people " in contempt they probably don't worry much over it.

No, it gets some of its money from ADVERTISERS. They would be happy to get it from anyone, and each and every one of those anyones would be shown on the books as "advertisers".

The fact that Rush has an audience does not in any way change toe fact that he is a hired asshole.

And of course, anyone with half a brain has contempt for dolts who waste their time listening to Rush and spewing his garbage. Just like gthere can be nothing but contempt for people wqaste their time watching Jerry Springer type drivel, COPS and most of those simple-minded quiz shows. It's nothing but fare for halfwits.

I ALMOST get the impression Miss Cynthia is supportive of Hillary because she's......a female.  Please tell me I'm wrong, Cynthia

But......

But I have to look at her track record and I have heard that she does have the ability to help where help is most needed in terms of children/healthcare etc.

...what track record?  Seriously, what has she accomplished, that she can hang her hat on as some success.  Rhetoric doesn't count.  Crying doesn't count.  Results count.  Actions count.  So, what is this "track record" you'd be referring to?

SHe has worked on specific projects during her husband's term in office. That is at least a record, albeit not a winning one...but I do think that she has learned from her mistakes and perhaps she will turn things around this time. Obama hasn't had that chance to fail......SO I count her attempts as a sort of promising step in the right direction...I get the sense that she does have enough intelligence and skill to make things better "next time".
That's all I am saying...I know she is a rough and tough cowgirl.....and mean as hell and not gunna take it anymore...but she's at least experienced with hope in her pocketbook....if not cookbook.

In other words, she has no "track record".  And there in lies our biggest difference of opinion I guess.  I see ZIP learning from any mistakes.  I see the Clinton Machine acting as it always does, and I see a Senator, NOT from NY, speaking rhetorically about all kinds of "nurturing notions", and not a shred of support to back up anything she's done to date.  All the while parroting the socialist mantra of "it takes a village", and how Government will take care of you cradle to grave.

Seriously Miss Cynthia, I have no idea what makes her that interesting to you, or for you to support.  Her "track record", if any, has been in being an enabling spouse to an adulterous, if not worse, scumbag.  Perhaps she'll eventually divorce the bum, but power & politics is all she's got now, and needs the "Clinton" name, and his drawing power.  That's why she won't divorce him, at any time, even if we find out he's dropped his pants for a few of her Campaign contributers.

But if there's something else there, that only you can see, well.......just try not to let your emotions dictate your thought process and voting

Just curious what has Hillary Clinton herself ever really done in a big way for children?
Besides writing a few books and working at the Children's Defense Fund for less than a year,
are there any major accomplishments for children (legislative or otherwise) that Hillary Clinton
can take credit for?
