McCain - Palin '08
« on: August 25, 2008, 02:28:14 PM »
I predict this is who McCain chooses as VP.

Republican Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin will deliver a larger than normal part
of the female vote and further damage Obama's attempt to hold the Hillary vote.

Dang, a hot VP. That would be good for morale.

uhm
I`m most likely wrong but mccain may just lose this election now
I`m guessing attractive female politicians are kind of a negative .
note how she`s dressed
even she is down playing it.
this is a serious wild card

She's one of the few choices that would allow me to vote for McCain. And it has nothing to do with her looks.

I`m not saying this for eveybody
just that despite how publicly people say that in politics looks don`t factor in.
in reality it does has influence.
ex. john kerry
after the election people started to admit he looks like frankenstien.
it`s shallow but true

Ditto

And I was just reading a U.S.A. Today article, where less than half of Hillary's supporters are pledging themselves to Obama, with over 30% of that polling indicating a probablility of voting for McCain.  That can't be good       ;)

On April 18, 2008, Palin gave birth to a son.

This can't hurt with the soccer Mom vote.

From what I understand, she is governor of a state with fewer people than Barack Obama's state senate district in Illinois. She has served less than half her term, and her largest elected role before that was being mayor of a town of 3,000 people. And I hear she's currently being investigated for abusing the power of her office.

What would choosing her do for the GOP's claim that Obama is not experienced enough to be president? After all, they'd have her, with arguably less experience, waiting in the wings to take over if 72-year-old McCain croaks in office.
