And that's all it'll be, as it does nothing to dent the debt, spending still rages out of control, and combined with Obamacare, watch unemployment start to head back into double figures by summer

And of course it'll be the Republicans' fault.......oh, and don't forget Bush

Well no....

Even though the tax structure is largly alike to the "Bush Tax Cuts" it is changed and repurposed enough now to start calling it the "Obama tax plan".

I am not too happy with looseing the Payroll tax break , but that was President Obama's in the first place.

Naaa....I have to disagree with you on this one, Plane.  If the MSM can hang the last 4 years on Bush, and get the electorate to buy it, despite it all Obama's policies in place, there should be no problem with them continuing the propaganda parade

Has the economy crashed? Is it the end of the world yet?

Heading that direction, and gaining speed, thank you very much.  You have seen our mathematically unsustainable debt right??

I suppose the only question is when our economy goes down in Greece-like flames, what will the Bsb's of the country, be saying then?.....that it was the GOP's fault for not going all in with Obama's plans?  That the GOP didn't fully support him, leaving the rest of the country withering on the vine, unable to commit to Obama's plans?  That it was Bush's fault?

Debt has no consequences and all lunches are free.

If you just manage to die before the bill is due, your grandchildren will owe instead of you.

This won't hurt them, they will just have to maintain their standard of living by building an even bigger debt for their grandchildren.

Gee, the stores are open, people are doing business, trucks are rolling. Few, I thought it was all over but the world goes on.

And even stranger, are you not going to find anyone that claimed that we had become Greece.  Hell, even trucks are still running and people are still doing business there, so not sure what the frellin point you're trying to make

Indeed....and Greece is still Greece, and we're on that road.  But what a beautiful day to be on the road, isn't it

Actually, the US shares very little with Greece.

The biggest problem in Greece is that  most of the economy is dominated by a few extremely wealthy families, like the Onassis and the Niarkos, and these people pay very little or nothing in taxes and the Greek government cannot enforce the tax laws well on anyone other than public employees, who are a huge portion of the middle class. The poorest people in Greece have cash businesses and do not declare their income accurately, either. All Greeks recognize that the system is broken and no one wants to pay for the many scofflaws, who comprise a majority of the country.

It is simply ignorance that causes the ratbag right to compare the US to Greece. The US is NOT AT ALL like Greece.
The US controls its own currency: Greece does not, so the potential solutions are also quite different.

Never said they did, outside of what's taking us down the same road they've been on......out of control spending, and inability to control their debt, not some uber rich families

I also hear their coastal waters are far prettier though
