While reading the opening post be sure to realize that it was written by someone who purports to be for LESS government. It's like the anti-abortionists, most pretend to be for less government, yet they want "their government" to control the size of your family. If the super whacko, super religious, super right, has their way they'd have their "smaller" government control every aspect of your life from who you worship to how many children you have.

Abortion is a euphamism , it literally means to end a process before completion, but it is being used in context of children , as in number of children a person chooses to allow to live.

I know, I know , I have on these pages discussed almost forever the "diffrence " between a baby and a fetus, and how there is a moment of magic at the time of birth at which a personhood appears.

I have a hard time accepting it as anything but mental gymnastics for the sake of covering the obvious truth , you have to kill to abort, and what you are killing is not a human artifact ,but a human.

If my sense of right and wrong is stimulated to peg this as a wrong thing , why isn't everyones?

If you want to pretend that there is no difference between aborting a fetus and killing a child be my guest. If you want to pretend that the world should bow to your beliefs be my guest. But, the real world will just go on as usual no matter what you pretend.

Your thought process on this reminds me of Snowblower's thought process on so many issues. The world isn't what you or he want it to be. It is what it is and you have to live within it. Decisions aren't made in a vacuum, or are prepackaged and just trotted out when you deem them appropriate. Life is lived where the rubber hits the road.
