Obama's problems are mainly due to the Republicans refusing to compromise on anything.

Please, Obama had both houses during his first two years in office. He lost the House and almost lost the Senate because of his overreach.

I don't know what you have against the tea party. All they want is for the federal government to live within its means, just like states, businesses and households have to do.

No, that is NOT all they want.
They want a ban on gay marriages.
They want to keep the Juniorbush tax cuts.
They want businesses to get even bigger tax breaks.
Taxes are lower now than since the 1950's, and they want to make the government incapable of prosecuting corporate fraud.

For a full two years President Obama did not need any republican votes, didn't he say once that the Republicans were going to ride in the back?

I don't think that Republicans need to make any compromises that result in Obama succeeding at wrecking more economy.

The Tea Party was sprung from the idea that federal spending was out of control, moral issues are not the main focus of their platform and some including myself have advised against conflating moral and fiscal issues.

And i don't see where democrats want to do away with Bush Tax cuts, they do want to single out one group, where as the tea party folks believes everyone prospers with lower taxes. Didn't Obama lower taxes with his payroll taxes reduction?

Bill Clinton advised that we should lower corporate tax rates to spur the economy, i did not notice you including him in your tea bag homophobic slur. I don't recall anyone encouraging law breaking by corporate citizens. Why would you say that?

What homophobic slur?

The 'baggers are simpletons, pathetic lumpenproletarians who cannot be trusted with running anything.

   teabagging

the insertion of one man's sack into another person's mouth. Used a practical joke or prank, when performed on someone who is asleep, or as a sexual act.

I did not say teabaggers, I said 'baggers, and you know very well that I was not using the term in the homo sense.

Which begs the need for those who are supposedly far smarter to run things for them......right?

The Tea Party is just as Bt referenced....a grass roots movement to advocate, if not push DC, into spending no more than what it takes in.  The effort to paint them more than that...as some simple minded racist mass, with a whole other uber conservative agenda, is no more than the left's & MSM's concern of their status quo possibly being budged, and their subsequent need to flail wildly & wrecklessly.  Ironically, very similar to how this President has been running things

The Tea Party has no specifics, after all this time, on how the government should pay its bills.

It is one thing to rant about how taxes are too high, it is quite another to write a budget that would actually eliminate a deficit. It probably is not possible for this years or even next year. and if that is the case, they should say so.

It is impossible to take the Tea Party seriously.

A huge number of like minded people must ask for simple things, the like mindedness is devided by complexity.

Congress is a pretty big comitttiee and geting sensable measures pushed through is notoriously difficult, imagine a group thousands of times larger writing something coherent and complex.

If their goal is to save the country, they should either write something or just shut up and go away.

...OR.....in a democratic republic, support candidates that will attempt to not just write, but DO something

The one thing that won't happen, I'm sorry to say, is that that differing opinions "shut up and go away".  That might work in a Communist or Socialist country, but not in America

The Tea party will, in the long run, be less effective than even Ross Perot.

They are only good at messing things up.

Ponder this.

The Tea Parties are to the GOP what Unions are to the Dems.

My predictions that the Tea Parties wont go away, they will go their own way.

Expect the same with unions, look to Wisconsin for clues.

In five years, the Tea Parties will have the same influence as Ross Perot does today.

Labor unions serve a useful function. The Tea Parties will vanish into the GOP. The Koch brothers are cheapskates and mortal.
