Give Hillary a chance. Come on.. Perhaps she has more to offer than we realize.

She might have more to offer this nation than we realize. She has been around a lot longer and when it comes to children, health care etc....she has proven to at least have a passion for change in terms of programs that work. I support her. I do. God, I have come full circle, but the child is at the base of this turn around. Obama is ok...but Clinton has been around a lot longer and I do believe she will rally to the plate. But, we need more than any politician can offer this nation /this world. .. of course we all know this.....we need extreme makeovers. We need risk, chance, passion and peace.

This will become the century of earth's healing and hearts reaching out to that which is spiritual. Not right wing religion...but love. You wait and see.....we need more of the power of love.

Sounds like you and Terra are in cahoots. :-)

I simply have no trust for either Clinton, Cynthia. I think Hillary is mean-spirited and that concerns me. But, I have no real proof of that; just a feeling. I could be wrong.

I am all for the Democratic Party choosing the Democratic candidate according to their own rules.

Yea, and screw the majority that may have wanted Obama, that are voting according to Democratic rules.  Yea, I got it the 1st time.  Votes don't count when it's not the person you're supportive of.  And if you're not leaning 1 way or the other, ALL the more reason to let the people decide.  At least if you're of the mindset that votes matter, regardless of party affiliation

Conventions are supossed to be brokered. That is where they decide who to run. It's not suppsed to be the Oscars, where they award prizes.

There won;t be any riots, either.

None of you will vote for the Democrat anyway. Why should you care?

Obama is not as electable in my view.

The Firewall remains Texas & Ohio.  Can anyone say "Remember the Alamo"?

==================================================================
Does anyone remember who WON the battle of the Alamo?

Obama will probably carry most of Houston and parts of Dallas and maybe Arlington and Ft. Worth.

Clinton will probably carry the border, El Paso San Antonio. I imagine that whoever carries the mostly White cities (like Amarillo, the oil patch cities of Big Spring, Odessa and Midland and  such) will most likely carry the state. I think Clinton is likely to carry the state.

I am not really familiar with Ohio enough to say.

The rightwing plan is to get Obama the nomination and then bring up all this assorted Muslim affiliation, Farrakhan lover, and such against him in the traditional Swiftboat fashion.

Obama has hope.
McCain has fear.

Will hope trump fear or vice versa? It's sort of a paper-stone-scissors Rochambeau thing, really.

When people elected Juniorbush and Cheney, tow oilmen, what we got was a ghastly rise in the price of gas and oil.
If they elect McCain, a military man, what they will get is war, war and more war.

Not that McCain was all that great a trooper. He bombed defenseless Vietnamese and got shot down after a few runs. He did not win the war, nor did he do anything dishonorable, but his heroism did not change the outcome of the war by even one teensy bit. Plus, he is older than even doddering old Reagan. The presidency tends to age a man about ten years more than the four year term. After two terms, McCain could be 98 in "president years".

Does anyone remember who won the battle where "Remember the Alamo" was the battle charge?

The Battle of San Jacinto was an amazing stroke of luck on behalf of Sam Houston and an incredible stoke of stupidity on behalf of Su Ilustr?sima Alteza, General?simo Antonio L?pez de Santa Ana, "El Napole?n del Occidente". No country has ever come close to producing a leader as bloody awful as Santa Anna.

Issuing said battle cry indicates therefore that the shoutee expects to be incredibly lucky at defeating an amazingly stupid for.

Strangely, we have only one dubious achievement to thank Santa Anna for. As a young man, a relative, I think a son, of John Quincy Adams got a job as an assistant of Santa Anna when the general was in exile in New York. He observed that Santa Anna had the habit of chewing on wads of tree gum that he brought from Yucat?n in SE Mexico. Adams discovered the source and flavored the chicle gum and the Adams Chewing Gum Company was founded. The two most popular brands were Yucat?n and Black Jack, but eventually a guy named Wrigley devised a formula for even more popular flavors: Spearmint, Doublemint and Juicy Fruit.

Chewing gum is the product of what can happen when a wacko Mexican general with a weird habit meet Yankee ingenuity.  Annoying habits are encouraged, essentially useless products are born and fortunes are made. On the other hand, chewing gum is far less harmful than tobacco or alcohol. But every urban sidewalk in America celebrates with splotches the meeting of Adams and Santa Anna.

I think that Hillary knows more about what is right for children. I do believe that to be true....I don't particulary like either one of htem on apersonal level because of their personalities..but business is business.
She has a track record of a deep sense of what can be done for the masses. I do believe that.

No, Sirs not true. I was in a disucssion the other day with someone who pointed out that of all the candidates, she really does have a sort of sense of what is right for people. Perhaps after all these years she has somehow risen to that "right" of passage. She is intelligent and she is nurturing to an extent. I am not playing devil's advocate, and yet I am....I don't like her for the very reason that she stayed with her idiot husband. But I have to look at her track record and I have heard that she does have the ability to help where help is most needed in terms of children/healthcare etc.
Nuttin to do with female vs black vs white vs Mormon...

I do wonder sometimes if we as Americans can objectively elect a human being for a leader without looking at the outter shell. It's hard. Obama talks more like MLK every time I hear him these days.....Why can't he just speak on point and talk about what he will do for this nation, instead of projecting that his running is some sort of action to further the next "movement chapter" for African Americans. I have picked up on his tone and words in speeches lately...but I do like what he stands for.

So, can we really vote for someone based on point...and not on gender or ethnicity?
I try to. I can't speak for others.
